While there are thousands of resources online for learning to play the electric bass, the one thing these resources cannot give you is feedback. This is where a private bass teacher can help you.
My name is Webb Pickersgill. I have been playing the electric bass for over 35 years, and have played in a variety of bands including rock, metal, progressive, pop, swing, jazz, wind ensemble, and even marching band. I have a Bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of Delaware and I studied with Douglas Mapp. Most recently I recorded bass for two songs for the narrative adventure game Life is Strange: Before the Storm, and I am currently recording a solo album.
My biggest influences over the years include bands like Rush and Dream Theater. My favorite bassists include Geddy Lee, Stuart Hamm, Billy Sheehan, John Myung, Victor Wooten, Flea, Jaco Pastorius, John Patitucci, and Brian Bromberg.
Now Accepting Students
I’m now accepting a limited number of electric bass students, ages kids through adults, with appointments available on nights and weekends. I will travel to you in the following cities: Louisville, Lafayette, Superior, Boulder, Broomfield, or Westminster.
I want each of my students to determine their individual goals, then I will work with you to achieve those goals. My ultimate goal is to teach you how to teach yourself.
